I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for welcoming me to Capri.  It has been a busy first week and a half.  I was able to get into every teacher’s zoom classroom to introduce myself to the students.  I have been holding one on one meetings with all staff members as a personal way to introduce myself and get to know them.  I participated in many team meetings and will attend Wednesday evening’s PTA meeting.  I can’t wait for the time we can meet in person, but until then I will continue to virtually get to know this wonderful Cougar community.  Be well and stay safe!

Beverly Zambrano has recently joined Capri's Third Grade team.   Ms. Zambrano was born and raised in sunny Florida and moved to the Bay five years ago. Her family roots are Ecuadorian, but growing up in Florida she learned from many different cultures and it became a large part of who she is today. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, hiking, baking, dancing, drawing, and spending time with loved ones.

Her wonderful third-grade class made her feel very special by making her welcome signs!

If you are having difficulties with your student's Chromebook, logging into Seesaw or Google the CUSD toolkit is a great place to start.

The toolkit is filled with various resources such as videos and tutorials on how to use the programs that our schools are using during distance learning such as Zoom, Seesaw, and Google Classroom. It also includes a link for families to complete a tech request.

Capri's new Principal, Mr. Brown has been having fun meeting all of our amazing Capri students!  He has been zooming with each class so students can hear from him and see his friendly face.

Some classes have made Mr. Brown feel very welcome by making him handmade signs!

Thank you Capri community for the warm reception.
