Last night we celebrated Capri's diverse community at our annual Muliticultural Night. From Ukraine to Venezuela, we enjoyed treats, facts, and trinkets while getting stamps from each country in our Passports. The night included entertainment from an amzing dance troupe, lots of traditional attire, and ended with an impromtu karaoke/dance party.
We'd like to give a huge shoutout to the coordinator, our Community Liaison, Ms. Astrid. Thank you so much for your hard work, putting this event together. Your months of planning truly showed!
Please join us May 28, 2026 from 5-7 PM as we celebrate the diverse community that makes up Capri. Over 30 countries represented sharing thier culture, food, and traditions. Students will receive a passport that will be stamped as they visit the different countries. We will have a Mexcian food truck, Venezuelan food vendor, and Churros!
We look forward to seeing everyone.
I huge congratulations to:

We are aware that some in the surrounding neighborhood have raised concerns regarding the lighting of the new construction at Capri. In response, we conducted a comprehensive review with our project architects, electrical engineers, and Facilities team to address concerns regarding energy consumption and light pollution.
Our evaluation confirmed that the current lighting system fully complies with Title 24 requirements, Division of the State Architect (DSA) standards, and the City of Campbell’s municipal performance standards. To objectively assess resident feedback, staff measured illumination levels at the residential fence line. These measurements ranged from 0.01 to 0.07 foot-candles, significantly below the 0.5 foot-candle threshold established by municipal standards.
While the lighting system is part of a DSA-approved project that must adhere to specific state safety and energy requirements—and is subject to existing builder contracts—the District has identified limited operational areas for adjustment. We are currently evaluating a one-month trial adjustment using a Wattstopper control system. During this trial, select second-floor exterior lighting will be turned off between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
This trial period will allow the District to monitor the impacts on campus safety, security, and deterring unauthorized activity on an active construction site. We remain committed to balancing our community's feedback with the essential safety and operational needs of our schools.
We hope everyone has a great Spring Break. Please take time to rest, and rejuvenate. We will see you back in class at 8am on April 20!
Please remember to drive safely in our neighborhood. Remember to follow the school zone speed limit, which is 25 mph. Please do not park in Red zones, or blocking neighbor's driveways. Let's work together to keep the community safe!
