School News
It was great to see so many families share their unique cultures through food, performances, displays, and activities. This truly brought our school community together and made for a vibrant and enriching experience for everyone.
Thank you to those who:
-
Prepared and shared delicious food samples.
-
Organized and presented informative posters and displays. They were so beautiful!
-
Performed dances, music, and other cultural presentations.
-
Volunteered their time to help with setup, cleanup, and activities.
-
Attended the fair and showed their support.
A special thank you to Ms. Astrid, Ms. Ana, Ms. Carla and their team of volunteers who made the Fair a huge success!
This week Capri hosted our Annual Special Games. Students got to have some friendly competition and enjoy relay games together. Principal Brown even joined in on the fun.
The Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival partnered with Capri this week to put on our Capri Math Night. Students and their families were able to play math based games and activities.
A new phase of construction has started here at Capri. You will see that a big portion of our campus is fenced off to keep everyone safe and away from the construction zone. The gate from Village is locked, so Capri can only be accessed from the front gates. Thank you for your patience during this time.
Parent feedback is an important factor for our decisions about your child's school experience.
That's why we're hoping all of our parents and guardians will participate in our annual survey.
P.S.
This video gives you a glimpse of the difference it makes!
Ms. Craig's 4th grade class enjoyed a virtual field trip to Sumeg Village (in the Northernmost coast of California 55 miles south of the Oregon border) through California State Parks PORTS programs. The children were engaged in our program this week where the park interpreter, Princess, took them around Sumeg and taught them about some of the traditions and customs of the Yurok that continue to this day.
This week, many of our classes celebrated Lunar New Year. The first day of the Lunar New Year is marked by the first new moon that appears between Jan. 21 and Feb. 20 and it's marked by a series of customs and traditions. We hope Lunar New Year brings you health and happiness.
