Volunteer of the Year: Kim Scheerer

Capri is proud to name Kim Scheerer as our Volunteer of the Year. Her outstanding leadership and tireless efforts have helped shape our wonderful school community. Kim began her early years at Capri as a Room Parent and active member of various committees, and for the past two years she has served as President of the PTA. In addition to her Board position, Kim has chaired the Fall Festival, the Walk-a-Thon, the Spring Fling, Reading Under the Moon and Stars, Movie Nights, and numerous fundraisers including See’s Candy and Mixed Bags. These efforts have helped provide valuable field trips and assemblies, as well as library resources and staffing. Kim is the mastermind of organization and logistics, recruiting volunteers, coordinating schedules and timelines for fundraisers, and promoting school improvement projects. Earlier this year, PTA was approached with an idea for a Little Free Library on site. Within a few months, Kim and her husband designed and built the Little Free Library. Our thanks to Kim for her years of service. Congratulations!
