Dear Capri Families,  

Our Capri staff looks forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, August 20th, the first day of school.

Class Assignments

Class lists will be sent to our families through ParentSquare by 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19.  Your child will only be identified by his/her CUSD ID number and not by name.  To balance class enrollment, further class changes might need to be made after the school year begins.  However, we will do our best to keep any changes to a minimum.  Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation regarding this matter.

Construction Update

We’re excited to share that great progress is being made on our campus transformation! The two-story classroom buildings have been placed, campus-wide electrical upgrades are well underway, new fire alarms have been installed, and a new phone system is in the process of completion.

While we’ve made significant strides, there’s still much work ahead as we prepare for a tentative opening of the new buildings in February. In the meantime, you’ll notice continued construction fencing around campus to maintain safety. Additionally, our grass field will be closed while new irrigation systems are installed and fresh grass is planted.

We truly appreciate your ongoing flexibility and understanding as we work to create an even better learning environment for our students.

Capri Communication

CUSD uses ParentSquare as a primary tool to communicate with families.  The bulk of our information will be sent on Thursdays.  Pressing information may come at other times of the week as needed.  Information will go directly to the email address we have on file. There is an option to download the ParentSquare app on your cell phone.  

Traffic and Safety

To ensure the safety of our students and families, please follow these guidelines during daily drop-off and pick-up times:

• If possible, avoid driving to school.   If you must drive, please park safely in the neighborhood and walk the short distance to school.  Please do not block neighborhood driveways.

• The circular driveway in front of the school is for drop-off and pick-up only.  Enter from the west end, and exit from the east end of the driveway---always pulling to the forward-most position.  The right lane is for curbside loading and unloading of passengers, and the left lane is for drive-through traffic only.  Parking is not allowed in the circular driveway.

• Do not block or park in the Red Zone. This includes our bus zone in front of the preschool playground.

As you review the dismissal times for both regular and shortened days, please keep the following in mind:

• Campus opens at 7:50 a.m. daily.

• Instruction begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.

• Students should not arrive before 7:50 a.m., as there is no supervision available before that time.

• Campus closes immediately following dismissal, which is at 2:22 p.m. on regular days and 1:22 p.m. on Wednesdays. 

• Please make sure that your child is picked up promptly
