Health & Wellness

Parents, please keep your children at home if they were sick during the night or showing symptoms of illness in the morning.  We have been sending home many students who arrived at school not feeling well.

As a reminder, our district policy requires students to stay home until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours.

To protect our students and staff from the spread of communicable disease, we ask that you do not send your child to school with any of the following symptoms:

  • A productive cough with yellow or green nasal discharge
  • Fever of 100 degrees or more
  • Eyes that are red, swollen, crusting or draining
  • Acute, severe earache or drainage from ear
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea accompanied by vomiting
  • A severe sore throat
  • A rash of unknown origin
  • Pain that does not subside after resting
  • A severe toothache

Parents of students exhibiting any of the above symptoms at school will be notified to pick their child up from the school office.

To report an absence, please call our 24-hour absences line:  (408) 341-7118.
