New CDC masking guidelines.

The CDC has updated masking guidelines since our last school year. You can read the entire COVID-19 Public Health Guidance for K-12 Schools in California, 2021-22 School Year.

CUSD will follow the CDC's recommendations as well as local guidelines.

Masking has been—and continues to be—a powerful tool in helping reduce the spread of COVID-19

Masks are optional outdoors for all in K-12 school settings.
K-12 students are required to mask indoors.
All school staff is required to wear masks indoors regardless of vaccination status.

These guidelines are current as of August, 4, 2021, and may change or be updated.

Please make sure your child wears a properly fitted mask to school and send extras in their backpack. Classrooms have extra masks for students who may need one.
