As you know, our district is planning to open a new TK-8 school at the current Campbell Middle School site for the 2018-19 school year.  In order to get plans underway and continue the transition to the new model, Mrs. Ready and Mr. Cribari will now be working full-time on this project.  However,

Ms. Wellendorf, our current Assistant Principal, has been appointed to be Principal at Capri next year.  She, along with a new full-time Assistant Principal, will continue the good work that has developed here over the years.

We are very excited about the opportunity to build a dynamic and innovative TK-8 school in Campbell, and we are confident that the Capri school community will continue to flourish.

Ideas and questions about a new TK–8th-grade school filled the walls at the District's first Community Input Forum. A second forum is planned for June 12.

The community is invited to the District's second Community Input Forum to provide feedback on short- and long-term decisions relating to creating our new school on the Campbell Middle School site. The meeting will be held Monday, June 12, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Campbell Middle School.

The District is seeking ideas and suggestions about elements of the Transformation Team's recommendation, which includes which grades will be enrolled in the school's first few years, the theme for the school, site plans, and more.

Students, families, employees, neighbors—all those who have an interest in development of the school—are welcome.

For more information about the school transformation, contact the District's Public Information Office: 408-341-7254 / contact [at]

More information is available online on the Transformation web page. (

Dear Parents/Guardians,
In our efforts to better understand our community’s needs, Campbell Union Elementary School District is conducting a survey concerning our current programs. You will find the survey enclosed with this letter.
Your perspective is important and your input will help us to understand how to continue to provide the very best learning environment for students.
We ask that you please fill out the survey and return it to your child’s school as soon as possible.
Survey responses will remain anonymous, and the resulting data will provide a comprehensive analysis of perceptions about our schools and programs.
Thank you for your time. We look forward to sharing the survey results with you early in the new school year.
Dr. Eric Andrew
