Meet Mrs. Spencer, Capri's Special Education Teacher

Mrs. Spencer has a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with a Health Science Minor from San Jose State University. She has her Multiple Subject Credential, Special Education Credential, Master's in Special Education from National University, and a Resource Specialist Certificate.
Ms. Spencer has a twin brother, sister, step-sister, step-brother, and half-sister. She grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains off of Laurel Road. She and her siblings and would go fishing in the creek, hiking, and bottle hunting along the abandoned railroad tracks and tunnels Ms. Spencer was in 4-H for over 10 years!
She has been married to her husband Joseph for 29 years. They have a house in Zayante, which is in the town of Felton.
Her hobbies are gardening, baking, and canning (her specialty is jams, applesauce, and zucchini relish), and she loves going on hikes in her backyard.
Mrs. Spencer has always wanted to be a teacher. She started in middle school by babysitting, recreation leader at numerous places during high school, Science Camp counselor at Camp Hammer, a summer camp counselor at Redwood Glen and Cottontail Ranch, private tutoring, and intersession teacher. She started working in January 1995 at Campbell Middle School as a Special Day Class teacher. She taught SDC for 6 years and then became an RSP teacher. She came to Capri and Rolling Hills in 2018, and currently works at Capri and Village.
She always makes a batch of homemade cookies for family and friends' birthdays.
She has been working on her family genealogy since high school. She found her grandmother's father and her half-siblings. Her 99 year old Australian grandmother is a WWII War Bride. She married an American sailor and came to America with Ms. Spencer's 1 year mom on the USS Mann.
