Employee Spotlight - Ms. Iyama

Meet Katie Iyama one of Capri's third grade teachers

Hello and thank you so much for the warm welcome, it has been great being back in 3rd grade!  A little about myself, I was born and raised here in Campbell and attended both Moreland and Campbell UHSD schools.  I received my undergrad degree from UC Irvine and Master of Arts in Teaching and credential from USC.  This is my 10th year in the district, previously I taught both 3rd and 5th grade at Castlemont Elementary.  In my spare time I enjoy visiting the Central Coast, (often painfully) cheering on the 49ers, spending time with my family, and cooking.  I recently became a first time mom to Kenna and love watching her grow up with her big cousins.  Teaching has brought me so much joy and I'm excited to be continuing my journey here at Capri!
