Congratulations Gloria McGriff - CUSD's Teacher of the Year

Capri's 5th grade teacher, Gloria McGriff has been selected for CUSD's Teacher of the Year!

All of us at Capri are so proud of Gloria McGriff for being selected as Campbell Union School District's Teacher of the Year.

Gloria McGriff epitomizes what a Teacher of the Year does on a daily basis. She is very passionate about her craft and is always seeking new ways to excite and inspire her Fifth Grade students. She is THE STEAM QUEEN! Gloria not only focuses on rigorous academics but also raises students' self-awareness through Leadership roles and responsibilities. 

Gloria gives so much of her time for the betterment of our Capri community, representing staff at Faculty Senate, piloting curriculum as an NGSS Science Innovator, and helping to secure grant funding for a multitude of school resources.  Gloria was the catalyst behind our site getting the STEAM grant, and she is in charge of student leadership which every single student at Capri gets to benefit from. She is such a positive role model for students and staff alike. Gloria is simply one of those teachers whose students, their families, and staff will remember fondly for years to come. 

 Gloria will move on and be considered for the Santa Clara County Teacher of the year in the fall.
