To help ensure the safety of all, please note these reminders regarding morning drop off and afternoon pickup:

  • School gates will open at 7:50 AM and students are to make their way to their classroom lines.  Adults may enter campus and wait with their children.

  • Please refrain from playing on the play structure or with equipment during morning drop off and after school pick up.

  • School starts at 8:00 AM sharp.  Any student arriving after this time will need to check in with the office for a tardy slip.

  • After school adults will be allowed on campus to pick up students.

  • TK, kinder, first grade, and second grade students must be picked up at their classrooms unless arrangements have been made with your child’s homeroom teacher.

  • All adults and students need to leave campus immediately after pick up.  We have Campbell Care and other programs on campus that require us to secure the campus for everyone's safety.

  • The circular driveway is used for loading and unloading only.  Please do not park.  We need to keep the traffic flowing.

  • Capri does have a bus that will be dropping off and picking students up each day.  Please do not block the bus loading zone in front of the preschool playground.

  • Let’s be good neighbors and not block driveways or mailboxes.

  • Please drive cautiously through the neighborhood.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Here is to a wonderful 2023-24 school year.

Capri recognized two outstanding employees and one volunteer as our employees of the year.

Capri’s Classified employee of the year is Allison Allen.  "Allison is gracious and kind.  Students and staff alike are drawn to her caring personality and dry sense of humor.  She is professional, an amazing partner to work with, and has an incredible sixth sense when it comes to predicting and solving potential problamatic situations around campus.  She is lika a co-teacher, most definitely my partner-in-crime, and right-hand.  I am proud to call Allison my collegue and friend.  It is time for her to receive the ackowledgement that she desreves!" -- Megan Ferrito, TK teacher

Capri’s Volunteer of the Year is Cindy HamiltonCindy has done a remarkable job as Capri’s PTA’s president the past two years.  Her ability to lead a volunteer group in raising funds to support Capri by providing many opportunities for our children is to be commended.  Coming out of a pandemic, volunteer opportunities were tough, but Cindy always had an idea or suggestion on how to provide more for our students and staff.  Field trips, assemblies, teacher appreciation events, grade level supplies, and teacher funds are just a few of the amazing resources provided to the Capri community.

Capri's Teacher of the Year is Allyson Shimosaka. "Allyson is well-deserving of this award and recognition and stands out in many ways. Teachers, staff, and students alike are greeted by her genuine “hello’s” and smile when she sees them throughout the day.  In her quest for excellence in education, Allyson seeks learning opportunities that support herself, her colleagues, and students.  A lifelong learner, Allyson has taken  on the challenges of continuous professional development, most recently in the area of the Science of Reading. Impressively, she readily shares the knowledge and resources acquired with her colleagues and peers. All this in the pursuit of providing the best for her students as well as all students in our school.

Allyson  provides the  necessary academics but more importantly, fosters a climate where children become the best versions of themselves.   Capri is so fortunate to have our teacher of the year Allyson Shimosaka on our staff." --- Lisa Hayes, First grade teacher
