Please join us on Thursday, September 6.  Parents will learn about curriculum, instruction, and our Capri School community.

Session I will be from 6:00 – 6:30 PM for grades TK, K, 1 and 2.

Session II will be from 6:35 – 7:05 PM for grades 3, 4, and 5.

While we do have several kid-centered events throughout the year, including the Walk-a-Thon, Fall Festival, Spring Fling, and Science Night, Back to School Night is for adults only.  This will allow our teachers quiet uninterrupted time to present information about grade-level instruction, classroom expectations, and our academic programs.

Our handbook will be paperless this year. An electronic copy will be emailed to you on the first day of school and can be found here on our school website to reference. Please take time to read this with your child as it contains important information about Capri and our expectations. A signature page will be sent home on the first day of school. Please sign and date after you reviewed the Capri Handbook. Please return the signed page to your child’s classroom teacher by Friday, August 24th.

We are looking forward to a wonderful year!  Please join us for a Welcome Back Coffee in the A1 on Wednesday morning, the first day of school.

Remind & Twitter :

Capri uses Remind to send text messages with updates and important announcements. Parents can join by texting to 81010, or from your computer at www.remind.com/join/6kbe8.

You can also follow us on Twitter at for the latest events at Capri. Each classroom also uses SeeSaw to share with parents and families all the wonderful learning happening at Capri. Please join when invited by your child’s classroom teacher.

Thursday Envelopes:

Clear communication between the school and home is crucial to the academic success of each student. Every Thursday, we send home a white envelope, known as the Thursday Envelopes, which includes important district, school, teacher, and PTA information. Please read this information carefully in order to familiarize yourself with school activities, opportunities, and educational practices. Sign and return the envelope to school on Friday morning.

Hot lunch is offered in the cafeteria each day.  At Capri, we have a “cashless line”.  This means that students and/or parents need to bring lunch money into the office. Please place the money in an envelope with your child’s name, teacher, and amount enclosed.  You can also add money to your student's lunch card online via the district website.

For the 2018-2019 school year, lunch will be $3.50. An application for free or reduced lunch is available in the office or you can apply online now at campbellusd.org. Students who received free or reduced lunch last year will continue to do so for the first 30 days of this school year, but a new form must be filled out to continue the program this year.

On Tuesday, August 21st at 5:00 pm class placements will be posted in the office window. Your child will only be identified by his/her CUSD ID number and not by name.  In order to balance class enrollment, it is possible that further class changes might need to be made after the school year begins.  However, we will do our best to keep any changes to a minimum.  Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation regarding this matter.

To best meet the needs of each individual kindergarten student at Capri, our talented kindergarten staff will be working with each one of your children for the first three days of school. Every child will have an opportunity to work with and get to know each teacher as they participate in multiple activities throughout these three days. Each teacher will interact with our entire kindergarten class to better learn about each student, the environment in which they thrive, and the best composition for their learning needs. In order to ensure a smooth start and end to the school day for your child, each kindergarten student will begin and end their day in the same classroom with the same teacher. The temporary class placement will be posted in the office window on Tuesday, August 21st by 5 pm with your child’s CUSD ID number and not by name.

While your child(ren) will have a temporary class placement for attendance and verification purposes for the first three days of school, official classroom assignments will be posted in the office window on Friday, August 24th by 5 pm with your child’s CUSD ID number and not by name. There will also be staff members in the kindergarten area on August 27th with master lists of student assignments to help you get your student's official placement
