Principal’s Message

Transition to distance learning when we return from Spring Break on April13th.

Dear Capri Students and Families,

I hope you are all well and staying safe. We miss seeing all of your smiling faces at school. I cannot fully express how fortunate I feel to be working with such an amazing community during these unprecedented circumstances. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and kindness as our staff worked together to build and launch our distance learning plan.

Our staff has been hard at work building the infrastructures and curriculum plans to launch distance learning. When we return from Spring Break, your students will start receiving assignments and instructional support from their teacher. Please be sure to check your email and SeeSaw for information from your child’s teacher about the platform they will use to connect with their students. An important update for all of you is that we are shifting from optional resources to a coordinated distance learning program. Moving forward, it is expected that students will participate in distance learning and complete assignments as best families are able. Your child’s teacher will be communicating with you about our new distance learning website and how to “check-in” and what the assignments will be. 

As we take our first steps together in our Distance Learning endeavor, we thank you for being patient, understanding, flexible and kind. School and learning will look different, however, the passion we have for our school and students and the commitment we have for their academic and social-emotional growth remains the same. We are committed to ensuring that your student and family feel supported through this transition.

To ensure you are kept well-informed:

• Please watch for and read any messages from CUSD in your email and posted to our district website.

• Please watch for and read any messages from your teacher(s) via email or Seesaw.

The teachers, staff, and I miss our Capri community so much and look forward to connecting as opportunities present themselves. Thank you for your patience and support.
