Open Enrollment for 2020-2021 School Year

Open Enrollment starts at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21st and ends at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14th.

Although it still seems like we are only part way through the 2019-2020 school year, it is time for us to begin to plan for the 2020-2021 school year. If your child is attending Capri at this time and is in Kindergarten to 4thgrade, they will automatically be enrolled at our school for the 2020-2021 school year. However, if your child is in our Transitional Kindergarten class and your family does not live within the Capri boundaries, you will need to participate in Open Enrollment to enroll them for a spot in Kindergarten at Capri for the 2020-2021 school year. If you do not participate in this process, your child will return to their home school, if you live in the Campbell Union School District, or you will need to enroll them in the district in which you reside.

Also, if your child is in 5th grade this year and your family lives within the Capri boundaries, s/he will automatically be enrolled in 6thgrade at Rolling Hills for the 2020-2021 school year. If you are not a neighborhood resident or if you want your child to attend Monroe Middle School or the Campbell School of Innovation for 6th grade, you must participate in Open Enrollment.

Open Enrollment starts at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21st and ends at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14th.  Parents must apply during this time.  If families are new to the district, a registration packet must be completed, and all required documents must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on February 14th for the Open Enrollment application to be valid.  Parents may make one choice to enroll their child in a school other than their boundary resident school site for Open Enrollment.  If a parent completes more than one application, all applications are null and void and the student will be placed at their resident school site.

For currently enrolled TK students.  If you are not Capri residents, you will need to participate in Open Enrollment to have your child remain at our school for Kindergarten. Residents of Capri do not need to do anything.  Your child will automatically be enrolled at our school for Kindergarten.

For currently enrolled 5th graders, Capri resident students residing within the Rolling Hills boundary will automatically be placed at Rolling Hills. Students living within the district but outside the RHMS boundary will automatically be placed at their neighborhood school. Students living outside the district or preferred school boundary will need to participate in Open Enrollment and go through the lottery and priorities for placement, if space is available. 

Campbell School of Innovation (CSI) enrollment at any grade level requires participating in Open Enrollment.

School tours of Capri will be conducted at 8:30AM on Wednesday, January 22nd for Kindergarten and 8:30 am on Wednesday, January 29th for Transitional Kindergarten.  Prospective parents may visit on those days to hear a presentation about our school and take a tour of the site.
