Miss. Carla is an Instructional Aide at Capri

Hello Capri Friends!!! Maybe some of you know me already, but if you don't, let me introduce myself. My name is Carla Palacios, but at school, everybody calls me Miss Carla. I was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica, where I lived until I started moving to different places because of my husband's job. I studied at the University of Costa Rica, where I got a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences of Communication with a specialization in Journalism.  I have lived with my wonderful husband and my teenage son in San Jose California since 2011, but we lived before in Arizona, Oregon, and Toronto Canada….. yes…. where it is very cold.  Sometimes people ask me which place is my favorite,  and my answer is always the same “I don't have anyone as a favorite because every place has its own beauty”. 

I  have worked as an Instructional Aide at Capri since 2019 and I hope to continue working here for a long time. I love to spend time with your kids. I help them with their process of learning but they teach me how to see life in the most simple way, which is something that I value a lot.  Seeing them grow up in all aspects of life is a privilege. 

One of my passions is to travel and meet people from other places, so this is why even though I am fluent in Spanish and English  I am learning french.  I love to read too,  and my favorite books are the ones that teach me about different cultures.
