Have A Wonderful Summer!

It’s SUMMER TIME! I truly hope that summer vacation goes well for you. Thank you for another wonderful and productive school year. We’ve been witness to growth and maturity in our students and staff that has been tremendous and I could not be prouder to have had the opportunity to be principal here.

I would also like to wish a fond farewell to our 5th grade class. They are amazing group of young women and men, and on behalf of the staff here at Capri, I wish you good luck. For our returning students and new incoming kindergarten students, I look forward to seeing you all back at the end of summer break. Be prepared to learn, grow, and have fun!

While you and the family are enjoying the much-needed quality time, mornings with no alarm clocks, and maybe even some nights with no set bedtime, I want to encourage you to keep some semblance of academics alive in the fun. Continue to read and grow over the summer and, even though it may be a bit hot, make time to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

For our parents, thank you. Thank you for the privilege of educating your students. I look forward to working with you throughout the next year to help your student grow. I cannot thank everyone enough for your endless hours of volunteering, chaperoning, reading, organizing, donating and doing whatever was necessary to support students—both at home and at school.  Special thanks to our PTA who, as usual, went above and beyond the call of duty to provide whatever was necessary to add to our students’ already rich school experience.

That experience could not occur without the endless energy, skills and devotion of the Capri staff.  Thanks and well done to an incredible group of professionals.

A final word to our Capri students:  Thank you for all your hard work throughout the school year.  I am so honored to be your principal; you make me proud to be a Capri Cougar.  You keep me laughing and young at heart.  I am grateful for your joy, astute insights and amazing talents.  Best wishes to our graduating fifth graders, whom I will miss greatly—please come back and visit.  Everyone have a safe and happy summer break.

While we wait for your return, we are wrapping up the school year, enrolling our new Capri Cougars, preparing next year’s classes and instructional programs, while anticipating our own summer break!  We wish you safe travels and an abundance of joy, laughter, and learning this summer with your family.

Thank You!
